How It Works
cUSD turns idle dollars into working dollars. Deposit USDG, hold cUSD, and your balance grows on its own. Here is the whole flow.
Bring USDG on Robinhood Chain and approve the amount you want to convert. Your deposit goes into the vault and is held as backing.
The vault mints you an equal dollar amount of cUSD. One USDG in, one cUSD out — no fee, no slippage, no price to negotiate.
Your cUSD balance grows continuously from the moment it arrives. No staking, no lock-up, no claiming. Holding is the whole strategy.
Burn cUSD to get USDG back at its current value, or just send cUSD to anyone — they keep earning on it automatically.
Why your balance grows
cUSD is a rebasing token. Instead of paying you a separate reward, the number in your wallet increases. Internally you hold a fixed number of shares, and your balance is those shares multiplied by a global index that grows over time.
your balance = your shares × indexBecause the index is calculated from the current timestamp on every read, the growth is continuous. You do not need to send a transaction or wait for a distribution — the value is already yours.
Never changes unless you mint, redeem, or transfer.
Grows with yield, drops if the treasury takes a loss.
Shares × index, recomputed live every second.
Everyone is treated the same
Because yield flows through a single shared index, every holder is affected in exact proportion to what they hold. Someone with 10 cUSD and someone with 10,000 cUSD earn the same percentage. There is no queue, no tiering, and no advantage to acting first.
The same is true in the other direction: if the treasury reports a loss, it is shared pro-rata rather than falling on whoever redeems last.
